In Judges 6:24 we discover that one of God's redemptive covenant names is "Jehovahshalom" (King James Version) or in Hebrew "yehôvâh shâlôm". The word "shâlôm" means “health, prosperity, safety”. God attaching His Name to shâlôm tells us that He guarantees all that the word entails if we trust Him.
The Contemporary English Version renders it, "The Lord Calms Our Fears”. God's guarantee of shâlôm breaks the power of fear regardless of the circumstances. Trust Him in these difficult times.
