David, through his sin, forfeited God's protection and gave Satan an opportunity to step in, leading to his own son, Absalom, to rape his concubines. God is not the cause of such immorality. However, He is unable to intervene when we have chosen to open that door to the devil.
God Caused the Rape of David’s Wives?
Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house, and I will take thy wives before thine eyes, and give them unto thy neighbour, and he shall lie with thy wives in the sight of this sun.
