"I Kill" - Paraphrase of Deut. 32:39 (with Notes)

Deuteronomy 32:39
See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me; the devil is not equal to me1: I permit the enemy to2 kill when you remove yourself from my protection3, and I make alive because I am life4; I permit you to suffer a5 wound when I no longer protect you6, and I heal because I am the Lord your healer7: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand; change the course of events without my intervention8.
(A paraphrase by Pastor Troy J. Edwards)
